Asia House is offering 2 tickets for the price of 1 on all bookings from Blueprint readers for a talk by Tomoko Azumi next week. The acclaimed Japanese designer will give a unique insight into her career and teaching, and will discuss her recent collaboration with Yamaha and a group of product design students at the RCA to reinvent the musical instrument. She will also talk about previously unseen work such as a new chaise longue for furniture maker Luke and Hughes. Other recent projects include the Transport flat pack portable floor lamp for a series called Wood by the TEN collective; and the Little Wood Lamp, a table lamp for a Japanese client, which was shown at the Milan Salone in April.
The talk will be followed by a conversation chaired by Blueprint editor Vicky Richardson, focusing on the exchange of ideas between London and Tokyo.
Tickets are available at £10/£5 concessions. To take advantage of our special offer (2 tickets for the price of 1) quite code blue 1806 and book on the Asia House booking line enquiries@asiahouse.co.uk or tel 020 7307 5454.
